Cosmetology Program

The curriculum for students enrolled in Cosmetology course shall consist of 1800 Clock Hours of technical instruction and practical operations covering all practices constituting the art of Cosmetology. Credits mean instruction given by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, homework assignment or online examination. Lab credits shall mean actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person or a mannequin.

Please note 1320 Clock Hours are devoted to Clinical experience that shall include all phases of Cosmetology. Additionally students are not to receive any compensation for services performed on patrons

Such technical instruction and practical operations shall include: Provide beauty services, such as shampooing, cutting, coloring, and styling hair, and massaging and treating scalp. May apply makeup, dress wigs, perform hair removal, and provide nail and skin care services.

Excludes "Makeup Artists, Theatrical and Performance (39-5091), "Manicurists and Pedicurists" (39-5092), and "Skincare Specialists" (39-5094).

Barbering Program

The curriculum for students enrolled in a Barbering course shall consist of 1500 Clock Hours of theory and practical instruction covering all practices of a Barber. Theory credits means instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, homework assignment or online examination.

Lab credits mean the actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person. Please note 1100 Clock Hours are devoted to clinical experience, which will include all phases of barbering. Additionally, students are not to receive compensation for services performed on patrons.

Manicurist Program

The curriculum for students enrolled in a Manicurist and Pedicurist course shall consist of 2000 Clock Hours of theory and practical instruction covering all practices of a manicurist and pedicurist. Theory credits means instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, homework assignment or online examination.

Lab credits mean the actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person. Please note 885 Clock Hours are devoted to clinical experience, which will include all phases of hairstyling. Additionally, students are not to receive compensation for services performed on patrons.

Such technical instruction and practical operations shall include: Clean and shape customers' fingernails and toenails. May polish or Decorate nails.

The curriculum for students enrolled in an Esthetician course shall consist of 2000 Clock Hours of theory and practical instruction covering all practices of an Esthetician. Theory credits means instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, homework assignment or online examination.

Lab credits mean the actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person. Please note 375 Clock Hours are devoted to clinical experience, which will include all phases of being an Esthetician. Additionally, students are not to receive compensation for services performed on patrons.

Such technical instruction and practical operations shall include: Provide skincare treatments to face and body to enhance an individual's appearance, includes electrologists and laser hair removal specialists.
